Samsung Android
Phone
The Samsung Android Phone has finally arrived but not without
a few fits and starts along the way. Back in February, March and
April 2009, there were leaks and rumors about the first Samsung
Android Phone complete with misinformation, blurry pictures and
scofflaw phones passed off as the real thing.
Then in late April, the first real phone was announced, the Samsung
I7500 Android Phone. The Samsung I7500 has a 5 megapixel camera
with LED flash, 528MHz Qualcomm processor and a 3.5 mm headset
plug, and a 3.2" HVGA capacitive OLED display.
Other features include GPS, MP3 audio, 8 GB internal memory,
micro SD external memory up to 32 GB, and a 1500 mAh battery.
Another Samsung Android Phone that was announced in September
2009 is the Galaxy Lite (i5700). The Galaxy Lite is the smaller
and less robust version of the Samsung I7500 Android Phone.
The Samsung Behold II Android Phone was announced in October
2009 and will be paired up with T-Mobile. The Samsung Behold II
Android Phone carries a 3.2 inch AMOLED display, WiFi, up to16GB
microSD storage and a 5 megapixel camera with AF and flash.
The Samsung Moment Android Phone is yet another offering. It
features a QWERTY slider, a 3.2 inch AMOLED screen, a 800 MHz
processor, a 3.2 MP camera and an optical trackball. Sprint will
be the carrier of choice for this mobile phone.
The Samsung Spica (formerly Galaxy Lite i5700) was announced
in October 2009 and has a 800 MHz processor and 3.2 megapixel
camera. The name didn't fly so well in test marketing and didn't
speak to the power of features of this Android Phone.
