There were a couple of leaked and rumored Motorola Android Phones
back in January, February and March 2009. The first actual Motorola
Android Phone however was called Calgary back in April 2009 and
the latest version as of this writing is the Motorola Calgary
A555.
The Motorola CLIQ Motoblur was announced in September 2009 and
has a full QWERTY keyboard. The Motorola CLIQ Motoblur is zeroed
in on social networking and is coupled with T-Mobile as the carrier.
Motorola Sholes / Tao / Droid which was the progression from
prototype to the final version of the Motorola Droid, but then
again, the final, final version is called the Motorola Sholes
A855. Don't you just love marketing intrigue that goes behind
this?
The Motorolla Droid is official as of the end of October 2009
and will be coupled with Verizon as the carrier. There is a funny
commercial surfacing that calls the Droid a manly phone and the
iPhone a fembot phone.
