The Dream Android Phone G1 by HTC was the first production mobile
telephone using the new Linux OS. It was first shown to the public
in October of 2008 and then officially released in the Spring
of 2009.
The Dream Android Phone has a full QWERTY slide out keyboard
and T-Mobile is its official telecom partner. One of the unique
features of the HTC Dream Android Phone is the Barcode Scanner
that can be downloaded from the Android Market which let's a person
scan any product and receive up to date product information.
The Dream Android Phone has a crisp 3.2-inch display, touch-screen
navigation, and multiple reviews have stated that the slide out
keyboard is finger-friendly. The Dream Android Phone has 192 MB
of RAM and 256 MB of ROM.
The HTC Dream runs off a Qualcomm MSM7201A, 528 MHz processor,
weighs around 5.6 oz with battery and is Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS
enabled. The navigation for the Dream Android Phone is by trackball
with Enter button.
