Android phones are hitting the market faster than former Vice
President Dick Cheney can fire off rounds of birdshot. So, duck
and cover and come back often to check out the ever changing reviews
of the ever changing Android phone as we know it. This page offers
a synopsis of the most popular Android phones. To get more details,

The Android phone reviews that will be covered in this section
included the latest models from HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony
Ericsson and in time a few other Android Phone makers.
Android Phones - Short Reviews
The HTC Dream Android Phone,
or G1 was the first Android phone in development and finally released
to the public on October 22, 2008. The HTC Dream gives the G1
a facelift and put on a more ergonomically designed keyboard.
In February 2009, HTC introduced the HTC Magic
Android Phone or G2 that has a sleeker design than the HTC
Dream plus GPS, WiFi, 3G speed and a 3.5 megapixel camera.
In April 2009, it was leaked that the HTC
Android Phone Fiestawas in the works.
In May 2009, the T-Mobile HTC G1 V2 (Bigfoot) was announced with
fully QWERTY keyboard and was said to be available at Walmart
in October 2009.
In September 2009 HTC Hero gets a facelift and has just passed
the FCC. The HTC Hero has partnered with Sprint as its carrier
and is said to be available October 2009.
The Samsung 17500 Android Phone was announced in April 2009 to
be available in June. After months of rumors and speculation,
the Samsung 17500 Android Phone is confirmed to have a 3.2"
HVGA display, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, audio MP3 and many more
features.
Other Samsung Android Phone
offerings that have been announced include the Galaxy Lite i5700,
the Behold 2, the Moment and the Samsung Spica.
The first LG Android Phone
on record was the China Mobile GW880 released in September 2009
and a week or so later the LG Etna was announced. IFA Vodaphone
introduced the LG Etna Android Phone with a full QWERTY keyboard,
a 3-inch touch-screen and a 5 megapixel camera.
In late November the LG GW880 OPhone was announced but only for
those in China. LG dropped the QWERTY keyboard which is useless
in China, but added a 3.5 inch screen and mobile TV.
The first Motorola Android
Phone pictures were leaked in January and February of 2009.
These leaked models were called "Flash" and "Slate"
respectively. The first real Motorola Android Phone, however is
the Motorola Calgary coupled with Verizon service. They are calling
the latest version the Motorola Calgary A555.
The Motorola CLIQ Motoblur was announced in September 2009 and
has a full QWERTY keyboard. Then the Motorola Sholes / Tao / Droid
followed which was the progression from prototype to the final
version of the Motorola Droid.
The Motorolla Droid is official as of the end of October 2009
and will be coupled with Verizon as the carrier.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10a (code named X3 and "Rachel")
has finally surfaced at the middle of October 2009. The Sony
Ericsson Android Phone will have a 1 GHz processor and rollout
in January 2010 and come with the Android 2.0 operating system
(OS).
